Trade Link: End-to-End Service Marketplace

The Constraint: Service marketplaces depend entirely on trust and high transactional liquidity. The challenge was to design the distinct, parallel operational workflows for diametrically opposed user types (the Customer and the Tradesperson) and keep them synchronized across the entire project lifecycle, from discovery and instant chat to real-time progress tracking and final work verification, while simultaneously enforcing strict safety and ID verification loops. My Role: Lead Product Designer, responsible for owning the end-to-end user experience for ~90% of the application ecosystem. I architected the dual-sided user journeys, establishing the foundational system logic for role selection, secure real-time messaging, milestone-based construction progress tracking, and the transactional workflow for uploading and verifying finished work. I successfully managed this visual and logical complexity by implementing a strict, scalable component library. The Impact: Delivered a robust, fully transactional marketplace ecosystem where trust is enforced through design rather than assumed. By mapping rigorous identity security onto functional product features like project milestones and work verification, I established a safe operational environment that significantly reduced transactional friction and positioned the platform for scalable growth in a high-risk service market.
